Choreography

Anastasia Miller is a passionate choreographer and has recently delved into the craft of choreography further. Anastasia enjoys making works about tangible human experiences that people, not just dancers, can connect to. In her process she loves to leave space to play by allowing room for the dancers to collaborate. She has been fortunate enough to have multiple of her works to be selected and premiere on the Stevie Eller Dance Stage and has been rehearsal and choreographic assistant for a work by Yusha Marie-Sorzano and associate choreographer for Gianni Howell. Anastasia has been a two time Choreographic Finalist at New Century Dance Project in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In addition to this, she has set multiple works that have been showcased on competitive and convention stages. She wants to continue creating and crafting works for stages worldwide, including film.

Featured Works

212 Degrees

"212" is a work on how internalized conflicts, such as self-doubt, pressure, insecurities, etc. externalizes on other people. This tends to put strains on these relationships, whether platonic, romantics, brand new, and creates breaking points for the people involved

Cyclic Collapse

"Cyclic Collpse" is a work about the patterns of time we gain in our lives. Whether it is a day, month, year, etc., us humans, tend to fall into patterns and cycles that can make each day seem monotonous.

Gula

"Gula" is a work about how power manifests and transitions in our world. The piece came to mind after hearing debates about what type of governing power is superior. I wanted to pull from experience and history to create this story.

Tiny Cities

"Tiny Cities" is a work created as a dance just to dance with friends and have a good time. The piece was made in collaboration with Alexander Turner

Reflections of the Past

"Reflections of the Past" is a work that speaks on the creativity and ambitions that children tend to have and as how adults we tend to lose this due to different variables that come with growing up.
